I once interviewed for a contact job, where I passed the first interview with flying colors, but the second interview was conducted by a real jerk (a sales guy). He asked me why I had so many jobs on my resume. (Duh I was a contractor and this is what I do). Some places they will ask you some questions or give you a non-technical test to weed out the head cases.
