Description: The Linux\Unix Systems Administrator will provide server, infrastructure, and application support. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently, showing independent problem solving skills with self-direction. The successful candidate will possess the ability to provide: * Skills to configure/maintain/administer Linux/Unix systems across multiple environments * Skills to configure/maintain/administer Vmware farm using VM Control Center * Advanced hardware troubleshooting and replacement on Linux server systems * Project creation and execution on firmware upgrade/OS upgrades/hardware upgrades * Work out of our ticket tracking system to work on Trouble Tickets and Change Requests * Changes to customer systems while following strict guidelines for SSAE-16 compliance * Act as a Customer liaison; proven ability to develop and document solutions, configurations, policies and procedures Required Skills Systems Engineer position requires 7+ years of relevant experience. The position requires excellent technical skills, and the ability to team well and communicate effectively. Ability to work independently and in a 24x7 team setting. Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of Servers, Knowledge and abilities in the following server software: RedHat ES 5, VMware 4 or 5, RedHat Kickstart, Logical Volume Manager, Patch and Performance Management.
