I've got an issue at work where a ps -ef shows the numeric uid rather
than the user name:
sburtt 22801 22800 0 13:50 pts/12 00:00:00 -bash
40162 23945 23910 0 14:19 ? 00:00:00 sshd: aviva_cwm@pts/17
40162 23946 23945 0 14:19 pts/17 00:00:00 -tcsh

We are using LDAP for network authentication.

this case the user is using sudo to get into that account.
