I keep my passwords, all of which are distinct, in a password protected libreoffice doc. Been working just fine. But then again I'm not being chased around the globe like Ed S. I would suggest this to folks who don't have serious security concerns. Heck everybody knows how to use an office doc and from what I understand the encryption isn't bad.
