Our client, a Fortune 500 company, is currently looking to add a contract Linux/Unix Administrator to their team in Bedford, MA. In this Linux/Unix Administrator position, you will be responsible for: . Supervising less experienced Administrators . Providing day-to-day workload assignments . Providing expertise in cross-functional and departmental efforts . Interfacing with consultants and architects . Identifying system performance issues and overseeing the development and use of tools to resolve these issues . Analyzing data critical to capacity forecasting, asset management, and procurement . Ensuring that the technical environment is properly monitored and correctly used . Leading the design of computing infrastructure . Working closely with architects on project design and technical direction . Assisting IT managers and IT senior management with service planning, service delivery and reporting . Assisting management in the development of corrective action plans and Root Cause Analysis documents for both internal and client distribution To be considered for this opportunity, Linux/Unix Administrators must have: . Strong experience with Linux, Unix, VMware, and Bladelogic . Experience with Systems Management, ITIL processes, and maintaining high performance client facing environments . Familiarity with multi-site/vendor environments and highly secure data . An understanding of network topography, management, and SAN/NAS environments . Program and/or project management Certification .
