I think that having a lot of icons for a lot of different langues will make it hard to recognice.
And its a good idea to promote the liberty in the name. What about one flame like in the hand of the liberty statue in NY? It like the kernel of the liberty, its flame, its light. That will be recognoscible for all langues. The name will not be freeoffice, officelibre, officelliure, officelivre, .. . it will be allways libreoffice(witch has a little internationalization effect in th e 2 diferent langues) I prefer not to return to openoffice, libreoffice is much more better.
