The advantage would be that you might possibly get some things earlier than via your preferred Linux distrib, but it sounds like a big and possibly unjustifiable demand on LibO project resources for the benefits gained. Plus I noticed that Ubuntu distributes an OOo (LibO in future, I guess) that is slightly better integrated visually into Gnome than the current LibO beta I installed... an added value from additional work they do before shipping a distrib update/upgrade?
