Hi Mirek, :-) Your solution looks good... But I am wondering how much your theme under Ubuntu is influencing the appearance of the panel? I like Darklooks myself, but most people are more traditional in their tastes... Does your splashscreen replacement look a lot different if you use Ubuntu's Ambiance theme, for instance?
