Hi all, I was reading the following on this review<http://www.infoworld.com/d/applications/open-office-dilemma-openofficeorg-vs-libreoffice-716?page=0,3>and I thought that this is something TDF should step in:

It does not market any commercial version of the LibreOffice suite, nor does it offer any support contracts. Doubtless, third parties will step in to provide support for the suite, and perhaps some already do, but there are no links to support providers on the LibreOffice website. At this early stage of the project, support is largely limited to mailing lists, IRC channels, FAQs, and online documentation.*" The easiest way is to just throw to the website some links of relevant firms which specialise on migration management and finish the story there. Alternatively, we could throw some thought and time of how LO connects with the supply-chain of a company or organisation. For instance, the web-site could have a whole new section to share know-how and intelligence of how you could procure, migrate from another software,implement an upgrade to LO and of course maintain it. Don't get me wrong, I am not suggesting to write a lengthy manual, but it could very encouraging for e.g. a migration expert to have some numbers and statistics of the benefits to have LO. Moreover, what is the legislation and frameworks that support open-source; where you could find support from other institutions on the usage of LO; any similar successful stories and overall a database of relevant information/tips. Such a section could promote LO and open-source to a group of people (procurement specialist and migration/change experts) who are the very decision makers on what software companies, institutions and public sector will use. Further, a discussion with these professionals could give a lot of interesting feedback of how we could improve LO and provide tips on how to make it more appropriate for volume installations/ various procurement standards. Any thoughts upon that? Is the above within the scope of TDF?
