What functionality would that be, that is not currently available using
Draw, and the appropriateextension(s)?

Yes, with Draw is possible to do many things.
I am giving an idea of a Libre Office Mind Mapping Tool.
May be integrated with draw, but more simple and fast to write, without
the need of pick the forms and arrows all the time and put them in the
right position.

A Reference manager, where would be easy to manage any type of text
information, from the browser or pdf's.
For a better research and organization, select the references with the
objective of introduce the information on the working document.
Would be great to have something like LibreOffice Base that
automatically organizes academic papers, text or books, and easily
integrates with the browser and pdf reader for example.

An integration of Base and Draw to map mind and organize text data, pdfs
and all type of text info.
After this organization, will be easy to introduce references into
documents with the reference rules and easily correct and change
information on the document following the graphic mapping.
