Il existe aussi SoftMaker Office qui revendique également une meilleure
compatibilité MSO (ce qui est exact pour les fichiers xls en tout cas)

C'est pas libre non plus, pas plus en Français, mais ce n'est pas du
Java et ça existe en versions Windows et Linux.
