In case you haven't heard. Do we want to post something to the FC National blog about this as well? (Stating our support, etc.)
---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Danijel Orsolic <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Jun 26, 2007 3:34 PM Subject: [Icommons] Day of Silence for Internet Radio To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi, While I'm aware that these new royalty rate increases in US mostly affect radio stations with non-CC music I still feel it is unfair to force them to close them all down like this. I just don't see the justification for such repression and besides, if we allow them to do this, what's next? So.. today, June 26, thousands of webcasters in US are going silent (or rather, off the normal program) in protest against these royalty increases hoping to change the outcome, which is that on July 15th, thousands of internet radio stations will be closed because they wont be able to afford the new royalty rates (which are super-high).
