(sorry about cross-posting with cc-community)

Dear FC.o community:

Creative Commons, in conjunction with Fedora and Worldlabel, is working on a
second version of LiveContent for distribution to libraries. Please see
entry here:

http://creativecommons.org/weblog/entry/7652

In order to create a great release that can be beneficial to libraries and
patrons, we're looking to identify a small number of libraries that would be
willing to help test out the spins. We're looking at trying to get libraries
from various areas of the US to participate.

Other areas to investigate:

   - What is the current computing environment at libraries right now,
especially public libraries? The first version of LiveContent (Fedora, open
source apps, CC-content) was self-contained on a CD - is a DVD doable for
   library terminals?

   - How to increase the amount of open content contained on a disc - CD
vs. DVD vs. thumbdrive vs. other options

   - How to best explain Creative Commons, FOSS movement, and open
   content

   - Creating demos of how users can manipulate open content on the disc
using the free tools provided, and then also mark and share again

   - How to automate the process of pulling down CC-content from curators
like Flickr, Jamendo, etc. for inclusion on the disc
