Hello fellow Free Culture fans! Wearing my official CC hat, let me say: Creative Commons is looking for an intern to help out with the new ccLearn project. The intern position is not itself a technical one, but some technical comfort is good (I imagine everyone on this list is qualified).
The intern position would start by focusing on finding Open Educational Resources and helping us categorize them; you would help improve a search engine we're building (in collaboration with Google) to help educators and educatees find OERs. http://creativecommons.org/weblog/entry/7765 has a little bit more, and it links to the famous http://creativecommons.org/about/opportunities/ page which has quite a bit more info. We'd love it if someone would like to spend some time in our San Francisco office (we'll pay you money!), so we're hoping to primarily reach people in the San Francisco Bay area. (The links earlier in this paragraph explain a little more about that.) Feel free to drop me a line with questions at my super-official [EMAIL PROTECTED] email address if you want to talk about CC in general. For more info on this internship, your best bet is to talk to Ahrash Bissell (Executive Director, ccLearn) or Jennifer Yip (our Operations Manager) if you have questions - but feel free to CC: me if you want to let me know you're interested! -- Asheesh. P.S. If people have some issue with my promoting a job opportunity here, let me know. I don't think this is the first time it's been done here, but I don't want to offend the community either. -- It is very vulgar to talk like a dentist when one isn't a dentist. It produces a false impression. -- Oscar Wilde. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://freeculture.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss
