I suspect many people on the list have apps they wish were compiled /
compatible with their preferred OS but aren't.

Of greater interest to me is Apple's effective appeal to freedom and
openness despite offering technology that is in many respects, less
free (or at least, less hackable) than those from Microsoft. Do they
simply take advantage of a !notMicrosoft binary mentality that seems
to pervade certain circles of computer users?
