What exactly are you asking for us to change?
I'm asking you to create a free player that would eliminate synch
licensing, which is an obstacle to free speech.
Not for me; I can get my film out without going Free Culture, thank
you very much.
I don't think you understand how this software could affect the
Entertainment Industry and the understanding of copyright law.

I'm not sure if you followed this -- but this is a discussion list.
As for things that the people on this are *actually doing to change
the world* I know you're aware of our conference -- http://conference.freecutlreu.org
, but we also have many chapters dedicated to working on other
projects and frequently collaborate with groups like Creative
Commons, FSF, and the EFF.
Also, I think you should be careful about how you word your
criticism here -- it sounds like you want us to change your world.
Which is fine. I'm really sympathetic to your problem, and the
solution sounds like its reasonably easy with VideoLan. Matt Lee
even offered to help you hire some one to do it.
What exactly are you asking for us to change?
Best,
Fred
