Kinda of, except the landing page is ugly and it doesn't really do what the Case Book is supposed to accomplish :) Case Book will give you a way to: A) Specify what kind of object you are dealing with B) determine any special qualities of that object (are their trademarks involved? how about public figures? etc) C) give you a recommendation (with legal background) if you can use it in a Fair Use context or even if the object _is_ copyrighted.* But yeah, I've looked at that page before and found it to have a ton of copyright information; good stuff. Sorry for giving you all a link to an obviously draft quality wiki page, just thought it was a cool idea. Best, greg * of course it will have to give caveats that deal with term of copyright, but the primary concern is things like data (not copyrightable), photographs/scans/representations of public domain works (no new copyright), etc. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://freeculture.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss
