Let me know if you find a good way to install it on Apache (on shared linux hosting with ruby on rails). I don't know why they didn't focus on an Apache-friendly install from the beginning. I don't know anybody who is using OS X or whichever one flavor of linux they selected as an option.
Techcrunch said there will be waves of invites going out, soon to include donors, etc. I haven't gotten one yet, but I don't think I could make use of one right away if I did.
