We all met lots of people so I thought a thread dedicated to the conference
and connecting with people who you maybe didn't get the name of, etc. I also
started a SFCNYC 2011 group on Indenti.ca (the free Twitter alternative) we
can all join to keep in touch in the future! http://identi.ca/group/sfcnyc

Post your info and any thoughts on the conference!

I'm Danny Piccirillo aka sarvōdaya (online handles are TheSilentNumber and
DPic). I'm all about autonomy, free software (free as in freedom, you may
have heard it referred to as "open source software"), and free culture. I'm
concerned with the ownership and control over information and it's
distribution, as well as making sure technology serves it's users (not the
company who wrote the software). If you want to know about something related
to these, have thoughts on them, or a cool idea, talk to me!

Where you can find me:
 * Identi.ca (µblogging) http://identi.ca/dpic
 * GNU social: http://sarvodaya.daisycha.in
 * Diaspora: TheSilentNumber and sarvodaya
 * IM (Jabber/XMPP): [email protected]
 * Blog: http://blog.thesilentnumber.me
 * Email: [email protected]
 * Facebook/Twitter: will be deleted.

If you remember me from the conference, please say hi! It was great to meet
you all and unfortunately I didn't get the contact info of all of you i had
the pleasure or meeting.

We had some good discussions about free software and autonomy, and I've
finally committed to delete my facebook. We can't let these monolithic
corporations control our communication, and keeping accounts with them only
helps them.

I learned about http://libreprojects.net/ which is an awesome listing of web
services that are free software and free cultural works.

Anyways, i shouldn't rabmle. Share your info!
