maybe you are right (i hadn't test my app in IE yet) i reffered to an 
"additional space" bug in Opera - it's really annoying! so i had to add 
"lefttrim" function in jquery lib

i know it, but in some cases they are the best choice. consider the 
chessboard - yep white and dark fields can be of different colors, still 
"white" is the best className for white fields!
