Geoff Knutzen reported 2 bugs having to do with nasty IE transparency issues. Both are fixed now. There is an optional (as yet undocumented) option named zIndex that you should never have to use, unless your page depends heavily on manual zIndex setting.
(Geoff, I took your fix and removed the need for the tabIndex by introducing a static counter).
