It really would depend on what you want JQuery to do! I have encountered some problems particular to Safari using Jquery (e.g. using animate with position fixed), but I have been able to work around these problems with JQuery alone. Perhaps you would be better served seeking documentation on Safari's HTML/DOM/JavaScript quirks such as http://www.quirksmode.org/browsers/safari.html
Generally JQuery and Safari get along fine for me. Hope that helps.
