Totally, jQuery is NOT being used for the server side stuff - at the moment it's being implemented in the theme alongside the Colour picker plugin for jQuery to allow people to customise the colour scheme, but thats something quite small. jQuery could be used to "AJAX-afy" the CMS for things like AJAX comments, livesearch, date pickers (rather than the current text or select box methods) and for loading in content to blocks, rather than reload the page each time, or building newstickers from RSS content. Using interface, a drag-and-drop interface for blocks could be built as well. These are just some ideas, but basicly it boils down to simplifying the workflow through AJAX. I'd suggest downloading the beta-1 of version 5 and giving it a test drive , or try the demo here: http://www.adaccs.at/test/ and you'll see what I mean.
