> As a mere mortal I'm just surprised you haven't written > one in between asking the question??!! ;-) Well I started on one thinking it would be simple, but ran into some problems so I figured I'd ask if anyone else had solved them. As Douglas Crockford says, "The good thing about reinventing the wheel is you get to make a round one." ----- I've been working on one as well, seems a splitter is a hot widget at the moment. I'll be honest, seeing Jack do it with YUI makes me want to do it with jQuery. I feel like that silly song 'Whatever you can do I can do better' is playing in the background whenever I read that blog. I'm stumped on how to approach it with jQuery-esque way. In YUI-ext, you build an object, populate it with data, and denote where the 'sections' are (east, west, north, south, center). Center expands to fill the available space made whenever the other four are manipulated. That seems a bit cumbersome for jQuery. Just waiting for some inspiration to hit I guess. -ALEX _______________________________________________ jQuery mailing list [email protected] http://jquery.com/discuss/
