I've seen that before. It happens after a link has been "word-wrapped" onto the beginning of the next line. Once the link has been "word-wrapped" further into the line, the problem goes away. I know of no way to fix it[1]. [1] I used similar CSS for an "external link" icon (look at the bottom of http://cs.roosevelt.edu/academics/compsci/degrees/it/itba.html for an example) and there were two situations where I had this problem. The first ( http://cs.roosevelt.edu/#announcements) was solved by simply not using the external link icon there (it's usually pretty obvious in that section which links are internal and which are external) and the second ( http://cs.roosevelt.edu/people/research.html) kinda solved itself when I changed links on each professor's name from pointing to their personal website to pointing to their entry in the contact list (which has a link to their personal website, among other things). -- Aaron Heimlich Web Developer [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://aheimlich.freepgs.com
