Hey Olaf,
I believe your markup should use a rel attribute instead of the class
attribute.

Something like this, and make the call with the position as optional.

<a href="http://jquery.com"; rel="external">jQuery</a>
$('[EMAIL PROTECTED]').favicon('External link: ');
