Thanks for your anwser. The fourth point is the only point I can agree 
to. The others are merely matters of a proper syntax highlighting and 
some coding guidelines.

The syntax itself is just so damn succint that it's sad to see it banished:

"today: $year/$month/$day $hour:$minute" - "today: " . $year . "/" . 
$month . "/" . $day . " " $hour . ":" . $minute

I have a hard time typing the second one...
