Hey, I went to OU! FWIW, I'll be giving an introduction to jQuery at Lasso Summit 2007 <http://www.lassosummit.com/>, and I'm taking the approach that since many long-time web developers *still* haven't dipped their toes into the AJAX/Web2.0 waters, it's better to start simple and build slowly. My examples cover basic DOM traversal and manipulation, binding events, AJAX/AHAH, and core effects like show/hide and fadeIn/fadeOut. Plugins are mentioned, but the only one I'm using in the demo is the rounded corners plugin. At first I was concerned that it was too simple, but then I remembered: that's the point! Plus, I have to devote at least some of the time to the server side of things, as that's the whole point of the conference. :P
Cheers, and good luck with your presentation, Jason Dan G.
