I just posted a new version of BlockUI. I bumped the version to 1.0 just for fun.
Changes: - Element blocking with messages; you can now have custom messages appear over blocked content when blocking a subset of the page. - Improved "settings" support; it is now much easier to override the default blocking styles, including the overlay itself.
