Dear all,
we have a new collaborator, Vincent Firmin, from Epitech who will be
working in the design and development of the new images module for IPOL.
The idea is to modularize the IPOL demo system. The image module will
be the first one, and given that we'll create this new module, it's a
good opportunity to add some new features.
For example, images will be in categories (denoising, demosaicking,
...) and every image might contain informative tags (for example,
"textured", "monochrome", etc).
The new demos will work as usual, but we'll add a search box where it
will be possible to look for images in other categories or any
particular image, if needed. For example, in any demo it would be
possible to make appear "textured" images when choosing an image for
the algorithm, as well as the pre-selected images of the demo.
In short, we'll create for the images:
- Categories.
- Tags.
Since the development of this has just begun, if any of you thinks
that we need something else or have any idea, it's a good moment to
tell!
