Looks like a mess.
But if disk vendors are selling disk managed SMRs as just "a disk", I
hope they are doing a decent job of hiding the idiosyncrasies.
At the moment, my link-dest backups (if these are SMR disks or not) are
working fast…enough for me. Unmounts are fast, too.
