A way around could also be to avoid using setwd() altogether and use the
builtin project management in Rstudio instead, which automatically changes to
the project work directory when opening a new project. This is also better
practice for reproducible research since no absolute paths have to be defined.
Also changing the lesson towards creating the work directory for the workshop
under Documents instead of Desktop may help. Would require slight changes to
the lesson and doesn't really anwser the question, but a suggestion.
