Hi everyone, The call for proposals for SciPy 2019 <https://www.scipy2019.scipy.org/> is still open and talk and poster submissions for the different tracks <https://www.scipy2019.scipy.org/talk-poster-presentations> are due at the end of the day on February 15.
I'm co-chairing the open source communities (sustainability) track this year alongside Andy Terrel of NumFocus and happy to answer any questions you may have about this track, or SciPy in general (I definitely won't have all the answers, but can ask others on the organising team on your behalf if need be). You can also apply for financial aid <https://www.scipy2019.scipy.org/financial-aid> (travel, accommodation, conference registration) by March 19, 2019.
