Hello! I'd like to draw your attention to this blog post <https://carpentries.org/blog/2019/02/coc-documentation-release/> announcing updates to our Code of Conduct documentation.
We received extremely valuable and thorough feedback from community members during the RFC. Highlights from this feedback include: * Allowing reports to be filed anonymously. * Explaining if and when Executive Council and Carpentries Staff would be made known of Code of Conduct incidents. * Providing incident response checklists for in-person events. * Specifying the audience for each of the Code of Conduct documents. * Processes to ensure reports will maintain the reporter’s anonymity. You will find all of the revised documentation in our handbook: The Code of Conduct (Summary View) <https://docs.carpentries.org/topic_folders/policies/code-of-conduct.html#code-of-conduct-summary-view> The Code of Conduct (Detailed View) <https://docs.carpentries.org/topic_folders/policies/code-of-conduct.html#code-of-conduct-detailed-view> Incident Response Guidelines <https://docs.carpentries.org/topic_folders/policies/incident-response.html> including checklists for responding to an incident Incident Reporting Guidelines <https://docs.carpentries.org/topic_folders/policies/incident-reporting.html> The Code of Conduct Committee Incident Response Procedure and Enforcement Guidelines <https://docs.carpentries.org/topic_folders/policies/enforcement-guidelines.html> Termed Suspension Guidelines <https://docs.carpentries.org/topic_folders/policies/termed-suspension.html> Please, review this documentation so that you're comfortable with it. If you have questions or would like to offer recommendations, please file an issue in the handbook <https://github.com/carpentries/handbook/issues>.
