Hi everyone, We are excited to announce some changes to how Carpentries communities are organized. You may already know some of our Workshop Administrators -- Carpenters who have historically worked as volunteers or through our member sites to help organize workshops in regions around the world.
Knowing this role goes far beyond coordinating workshops, and includes building communities and promoting The Carpentries in their regions, we are changing their title to Regional Coordinators to best reflect the work they do. We have also launched Regional Portals ( https://carpentries.org/regionalcoordinators/) on our website, where community members can learn who their Regional Coordinators are, learn more about Carpentries workshops and other events in their region, and see our community of certified Instructors in that region. We now have a team of Regional Coordinators supporting Carpentries work in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, and our staff Workshop & Logistics Manager supporting the rest of the world. Whether you are an instructor, trainer, host site, learner, or through any other role you play -- we look forward to better connecting with all of you and building stronger communities across the globe!
