Reproducible Research Oxford [1] is a University-wide initiative focused
on advancing the open research agenda at the University of Oxford. The
overarching goal is to promote a coordinated approach to open
scholarship and research reproducibility that extends to researchers in
all disciplines. The University has recently awarded funding, through
the John Fell Fund, to establish Reproducible Research Oxford as the
local network of UKRN, the UK Reproducibility Network [2].
Reproducible Research Oxford is now seeking to hire a Coordinator to
assist with day-to-day administration of the initiative and related
activities (e.g. internal and external events, communications,
engagement). This is an exciting opportunity to shape the open research
agenda at one of the world’s largest research institutions. The
post-holder will join an interdisciplinary team of colleagues who have
been active in the area for several years in Oxford, nationally, and
internationally. They will benefit from established links with internal
and external partners, working within the national framework provided by
UKRN. The role would be suitable for an early-career or experienced
researcher seeking to transition to academic support work in an
administrative capacity.
The position is full-time, to begin on 1 December 2019 or as soon as
possible thereafter. This is a 24 months fixed-term position, with the
possibility of extension for up to a further 12 months, subject to
availability of funding. Applications to work part-time, or job sharing
arrangements, will be considered.
Applicants who belong to groups that are under-represented in academia
are especially encouraged to apply [3][4]. The closing date for
applications is 30 September 2019 and interviews will be held on 25
October 2019.
