Dear all, First of all, please forgive me for sending this to "discuss" mailing list as well, as it is still unclear how many are subscribing a group - Local-nordic for the Nordic Region<https://carpentries.topicbox.com/groups/local-nordic>. I would like to encourage all who are in one of the Nordic countries to sign up to this mailing list :)
This is an invitation to CodeRefinery online workshops! CodeRefinery<https://coderefinery.org/> offers training opportunities to researchers from Nordic research groups and projects to learn basic-to-advanced research computing skills and become confident in using state-of-the-art tools and practices from modern collaborative software engineering. We have a pleasure to announce two upcoming online workshops! The first one is already next week: https://coderefinery.github.io/2020-05-18-online/ This will be a "non-Git" workshop spanning 3 half days and is primarily intended for those who are already somewhat experienced in using Git. Sign up if you're interested in learning about testing, documentation, modular code development etc! The second one is a full CodeRefinery workshop and will take place over 6 half days, distributed over two weeks: https://coderefinery.github.io/2020-05-25-online/ For this workshop we are inviting anyone to register and attend as learners. We also have a new option to join the workshop as a team, where a team can have 4-6 learners and one helper (someone experienced in using the tools). Each member of a team still needs to register. We are also looking for helpers for this workshop. If you have attended a workshop in the past, please consider to join as a helper! It's fun and very instructive.
