Hello Everyone,

This email is to let you know that we have extended the deadline for
the Culturally
Relevant Education in Environmental Data Science (CREEDS) Workshop
<https://qubeshub.org/community/groups/edsin/creeds> to Friday, June 11th.
If you are still interested, please be sure to complete the application
<https://colostate.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3VH7YkfS7y8hSbc>.
Notifications of acceptance will go out on June 18th.

So that you may prepare in advance, the two open-ended questions are:

1) Please give a brief description of your general background, interests
and research/work focus, as it relates to this workshop.
2) What is your motivation for applying to this workshop? How do you
imagine this meeting informing any of the projects you listed in the
previous question? [refers to the list of up to three relevant projects or
communities]

We will be able to accept 20 workshop participants. Priority consideration
will be given to applicants who help us reach our goal of becoming a
diverse group of stakeholders and who can bring new perspectives to these
discussions.

If you are not selected for the workshop, we will have opportunities for
the broader community to engage in our discussions and will share resources
developed and collated as part of the workshop process. We will use this
list to infrequently share additional information on these opportunities.
If you do not wish to remain on this list, please reply to this message and
let me know. You may also apply to this email with any questions on the
application process.

Thank you again,

Sher!, CREEDS Planning Committee Member
