Greetings Carpentries Community, I am writing to share a resource that I am extremely proud of: The Carpentries Toolkit of IDEAS <https://zenodo.org/record/7041935#.YxEea_HMIq1>.
The Toolkit of IDEAS (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility Strategies) is a practical resource for Carpentries’ Instructors, helpers, and workshop hosts. This resources bridges the gap between inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility and teaching foundational coding and data science skills. My hope is that our community members will continue to update and extend this resource over time. In 2023, the Toolkit of IDEAS will become part of The Carpentries Instructor onboarding. Until then, I want you to read it, share it, use it, and share your thoughts with us. In service, Kari *Special thanks to the **Chan Zuckerberg Initiative* <https://chanzuckerberg.com/science/>* for funding this work, our community for providing feedback during community discussions and CarpentryCon, **Tara Robertson* <https://tararobertson.ca/>* for working with our Team Leads and community to synthesize the feedback we received and turn it into this toolkit, and Alycia Crall and Brynn Elliott for running co-working sessions and community discussions to support the creation of this toolkit.* -- *Kari L.
