Hi everyone,

I am delighted to share that The Carpentries has launched our new program of
Collaborative Lesson Development Training
<https://carpentries.org/lesson-development-training/>. This is a short-format
training teaching essential concepts and good practices in:
Lesson design and development
Collaboration
The Carpentries lesson infrastructure

We published two blog posts <https://carpentries.org/blog/> this week about the
training. The first announced the launch of the program
<https://carpentries.org/blog/2023/10/launching-collaborative-lesson-development-training/>
and aimed to answer some of the most important questions the community would
have. The second introduced our first cohort of Lesson Developer Trainers
<https://carpentries.org/blog/2023/10/cldt-curriculum-and-trainers/> - the
community members who will be teaching Collaborative Lesson Development
Training - and took a more detailed look at the content of the training
curriculum <https://carpentries.github.io/lesson-development-training/>.

Monday’s launch was an important milestone for a project we’ve been working on
for several years already, and I am thrilled that it is finally open for
registrations. It’s a collaborative effort between a huge number of people, and
it’s been a lot of fun. Particular thanks go to Aleks Nenadic, Mateusz Kuzak,
and Sarah Stevens for creating the curriculum, and Ann Backhaus, Erin Becker,
Mike Trizna, and Tim Dennis for preparing to teach it.

Please get in touch with the questions you have about the training and/or the
curriculum — [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>

Thanks,

Toby
