The call for the rOpenSci Champions Program 2025
<https://ropenscilabs.github.io/ChampionsProgram/> in Spanish edition is open.

 * *Champions:* We are looking for people who work in STEAM, who are from or
work in Latin America, who have a good oral and written command of the Spanish
language and who already have knowledge and experience developing with R.
 * *Mentors:* we are looking for people who have previous experience
developing, maintaining, or contributing to R packages (at rOpenSci is even
better), or have participated in the rOpenSci review process or another peer
code review project. It is also important that they are willing to guide and
teach other people and work collaboratively.
Over the course of 12 month, Champions will receive training, individual
mentoring in the development of an open source project, an annual stipend, and
the opportunity to participate in various community building and strengthening
activities. Mentors will support champions in these activities and also will
receive training and a annual stipend.

The application form must be completed *in Spanish by Wednesday, April 30,
