Hi everyone,

Today we published our latest blog post on the topic of teaching generative AI
<https://carpentries.org/blog/2025/08/genai-curriculum-discussions/> in
Carpentries workshops. In this one, I wrote about how we might teach the usage
of generative AI tools for coding and data analysis in new curricula designed
to complement existing Carpentries workshops.

Please read the post to learn more about why I think the time has come to begin
teaching workshops about this. The sessions will host a constructive discussion
about what we should teach on this topic and how we can develop lessons that
remain aligned with our community’s Core Values.
Session 1: 11:00 UTC Tuesday 12 August
