Hi everyone, In case you missed it on the blog last month, the Library Carpentry and Software Carpentry Governance Committees are currently looking for new members <https://carpentries.org/blog/2025/07/calling-for-new-lesson-program-governors/>. Lesson Program Governance Committees oversee the strategy of the project, advocate for it, and act as a point of contact for the Board of Directors, the Core Team, and the wider community.
Both of these committees are also responsible for guiding the development of the curriculum, a topic that is highly relevant to both Library Carpentry and Software Carpentry at the moment (see another recent blog post about the Building Better Research Software lesson <https://carpentries.org/blog/2025/08/building-better-beta-pilots/>, for example).
