Not to belabour this issue too much, I do have a question on how to determine what may be writing to rpool so much
I have > richard@omnis:/home/richard$ swap -lh > swapfile dev swaplo blocks free > /dev/zvol/dsk/dpool/swap 90,2 4K 48G 48G TMPDIR=/tmp or thereunder ... eg > richard@omnis:/home/richard/src/illumos-gate$ grep TMPDIR= nightly.sh > TMPDIR="/tmp/nightly.tmpdir.$$" but I see what seems to be a *lot* of writes... probably things under /var but any straight forward way on how to find out who? > richard@omnis:/home/richard$ zpool iostat 5 > capacity operations bandwidth > pool alloc free read write read write > ---------- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- > dpool 123G 115G 22 28 988K 1,98M > rpool 31,6G 5,17G 1 9 26,6K 70,6K > ---------- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- > dpool 123G 115G 0 93 0 4,41M > rpool 31,6G 5,17G 0 0 0 0 > ---------- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- > dpool 123G 115G 0 60 0 4,28M > rpool 31,6G 5,17G 0 15 0 161K > ---------- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- > dpool 123G 115G 0 94 0 6,44M > rpool 31,6G 5,17G 0 23 0 362K > ---------- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- > dpool 123G 115G 0 98 0 6,06M > rpool 31,6G 5,17G 0 21 0 353K > ---------- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- > dpool 123G 115G 0 71 0 4,55M > rpool 31,6G 5,17G 0 14 716 121K > ---------- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- the above is during a gate build and /var/tmp is empty and all NG zones halted. auditd is disabled. -- Richard PALO ------------------------------------------- illumos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/182180/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/182180/21175430-2e6923be Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=21175430&id_secret=21175430-6a77cda4 Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
