When I was playing with kerberos a while ago... on previous OmniOS
stable. I never got the GUI to work.
I don't remember any particular errors though.
Like you said, the commandline tools were fine.

As distributions pick this up, you may notice its absence. You can
still administer Kerberos using the command line interface kadmin.
