Actually yes: add_drv kvm made the /devices/... appear again :)
Does this mean that doing a "rem_drv kvm" will not bring it back automagically
by reinstalling the package?
The system remembers I did a rem_drv and will not do am add_drv again unless
done manually?

Re: [discuss] kvm driver not loaded
Sourceforge holds only the isos I release.
The illumos gate fork is here:
https://github.com/sonicle/xstreamos-illumos-gate
but the userland components making up the base userland (including the kvm
components) and the desktop userland are still
in my servers.......it's a lot of work to clean all the builds and "git add"
all that is necessary to be published @ github...
But I promise I'll do it!!!
In any case, the /devices/... stuff is not there, that's why the /dev/kvm link
fails opening.
I don't remember if I ever removed the driver to give space to VirtualBox, if
ever necessary...
But I believe that rebuilding the illumos-kvm component and reinstalling the
package should do an add_drv...
I'll try that by hand, anyway.

Given that I can't find the source code to the project, which is rather
concerning, it's hard to say which it is.
I think he's using sourceforge and mercurial:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xstreamos/
I've not downloaded it myself, but given the page mentions CDDL by name, I'm
sure his illumos-gate child is in there.
