Just for information — we applied, we never heard back, and several
attempts to follow up have met only with silence.  Hence, I do not expect
illumos to have any presence at OSCON.

I consider this a significant fail on the part of the organizers of the
Open Source Alley (GitHub).  I’m informed that our experience here is not
unique.
