Though I am new to this, please allow me to add my two cents. Apostolos, the stance of the community is that good code does not excuse bad conduct. Even if he magically gets Windows apps to run natively on illumos, if he keeps harassing, threatening and bullying members of the community, he won't be allowed in, and no arguments to the contrary will be allowed with regards to that matter (and rightly so).
With that said, KMS just needs a maintainer. It's not that it isn't important, it's more that there are lots of other, more important things. Remember that illumos is designed for servers. Desktop graphics is nice and will certainly benefit new developers, but right now there are so many projects and so few developers. Given that, if you need KMS, there is nothing stopping you from writing it yourself, or funding the development for it. Perhaps you can coordinate efforts for like a GoFundMe campaign or some other way to pay someone to write KMS for illumos instead of trying to campaign for an admittedly toxic influence to the community to remain unchecked?
