Hi all, As far as I know FreeBSD (and probably many other BSDs) is moving to LLVM/clang, and clang guys are being very supportive [1].
The performance benchmarks [2,3] on compilation times are surprising. And the tools available are great [3] (static analyzers, debuggers, etc.) I was wondering if it would be a good idea to start moving to LLVM/clang to get rid of any possible sunstudio dependencies, if any. As a drawback SPARC is not supported (as far as I know). Thoughts? Cheers, Antonio [1] http://wiki.freebsd.org/BuildingFreeBSDWithClang [2] http://forums.freebsd.org/showthread.php?t=11710 [3] http://clang.llvm.org/features.html _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.illumos.org/m/listinfo/discuss
