The solution is to kill the forums. Technical people should know how to use mailing lists. We aren't actually catering to end-users. My reasoning: Having a split-brained discussion community (forums/email as mentioned in another message) is just going to lead to problems. You spending some portion of your day moving discussions back and forth is going to become tedious for you and annoy listmembers. The technical issues with having a gateway between the two services are not necessarily _hard_ in the math sense, but they are very obnoxious and tends towards fragility. Unless someone wants to step up and take ownership of such a mutant beast, we won't go that route. Given that such a thing will require system access to implement and maintain, the requirements for such an individual are somewhat strict. Rich? Garrett?
